It is because of this that the traditional folk art and crafts that have been passed down on these artists are scattered everywhere, and they have not been effectively inherited, disseminated and utilized. These skills were gradually declining, and even some stunts have disappeared.
For this problem, the former Municipal Cultural Committee (now the Municipal Cultural and Tourism Committee) has been thinking: How can we let folk literature and art "singularity" on the stage and usher in the "highlight" moment?
In 2014, the Municipal Culture and Tourism Committee launched a targeted survey, and successively entered several towns such as Banan, Minjiang, Dazu, Yunyang and other districts and counties to gain a deeper understanding of the current development of folk literature and art, only to find out the "root" of the problem.
After careful investigation, the research team found four "roots" - folk artists are relatively scattered. They cannot form a "scale effect"; entertainment market news, supply, and demand are out of touch; lack of a fixed display platform; social recognition is not high, leading to a narrow consumer market.
For these problems, Xiong Tongfu has a deep understanding.
Even though he is talented, he has not been given the opportunity to be on the professional stage. It was a difficult time for him to keep it as a career and support his family.
In response to the "pain point" of "Xiongfu", the research team began to seek solutions.
After discussion, the Municipal Culture and Tourism Commission proposed a path of problem-solving: building a professional stage, bringing together traditional folk artists, and introducing traditional folklore to the public through market-oriented specialization, so that these stunts are in a new era.
Along this path, a series of related work is pushed forward.
